How long does a sump pump last?
Most last 7 to 10 years. Pumps that run a lot, or sit in a pit full of debris, wear out sooner.
Do I need a battery backup?
If your power goes out in a storm, your main pump stops. A battery backup keeps pumping, so we recommend one for any finished basement.
Can you come out the same day?
Most sump pump calls are handled the same day. If water is already rising, tell us when you call and we'll move you up.
Should I repair or replace my pump?
It depends on the age of the pump and what failed. We'll show you what we find and give you both options.
Should I repair or replace my sump pump?
If the pump is fairly new and the motor still runs, a repair is often enough. Pumps 7 to 10 years old, pumps that hum but do not move water, and cracked or rusted housings are usually worth replacing.
What size sump pump do I need?
A 1/3 HP pump handles most homes in Carmel, Westfield and Fishers. A high water table, a long discharge line or a pump that runs every few minutes may call for 1/2 HP.
