Sump Pump Repair & Installation in Carmel, IN
Pump not kicking on, running nonstop or already letting water in? We repair and replace sump pumps across Carmel, add battery backups and alarms, and fix float switches, check valves and discharge lines. You get options and a price before any work starts.
How it works
What we check on every sump pump call
The whole system, not just the pump
Drain tile, pit, pump, check valve and discharge line
Water from the drain tile collects in the pit, the float starts the pump, and the pump pushes the water through the check valve and out to the yard. A problem at any step can flood a basement, so we look at all of it.

Carmel sump pump services
Sump pump replacement
Our go-to is a StormPro 1/3 HP cast-iron and stainless steel submersible, with a 1/2 HP option for pits that run constantly.
Sump pump repair
Stuck floats, failed check valves, clogged screens and wiring problems are often a repair, not a new pump.
New pit and pump installs
New basins, pumps and discharge lines for basements that don't have one or need a better setup.
Battery backup pumps
A second pump that takes over automatically when the power goes out or the main pump fails.
High-water alarms
A loud warning when the water in the pit rises too high, before it reaches the floor.
Discharge line repair
Cracked, frozen or too-short discharge lines that send water back toward the house.
Why Carmel basements depend on their sump pump
A lot of Carmel homes have finished basements, and most of the soil around here is dense clay that holds water after a heavy rain. Drain tile around the foundation collects that water and sends it to the sump pit. When the pump can't keep up, the water has nowhere to go but into the basement.
Homes near the White River, Cool Creek or Williams Creek, or on a lot with a pond, often have a higher water table. Those pumps run more and wear out sooner. If yours cycles every few minutes in a storm, a stronger pump or a battery backup may be worth it.
Repair or replace?
A stuck float, a bad check valve or a clogged screen can often be fixed. It's usually time to replace the pump when it's 7 to 10 years old, the motor hums but doesn't move water, it trips the breaker or runs hot, or the housing is cracked or badly rusted.
We'll show you what we found and give you options with prices before any work starts.

Questions
Carmel sump pump FAQs
How fast can you get to me in Carmel?
Our shop is in Carmel, so we can usually get there the same day. If water is coming in, call or text (317) 731-3028 and tell us.
My sump pump runs all the time. Is that bad?
It can mean a high water table, a stuck float, a failed check valve letting water fall back into the pit, or a pump that's too small. We'll find out which one before recommending anything.
Should I add a battery backup?
If your basement is finished or the pump runs often, yes. Many basement floods start when the power goes out in a storm. A battery backup takes over automatically.
What pump do you install?
Our go-to is a StormPro 1/3 HP cast-iron and stainless steel submersible. For pits that run very often or lift water a long way, we may recommend a 1/2 HP pump.
How much does sump pump replacement cost?
It depends on the pump, the pit and the discharge line. You get options and a price before any work starts, and some jobs can be quoted over the phone.
